Watertown-Mayer and Melrose went up against each other in a boys' basketball game. The game used the 35-second shot clock.
Watertown’s Trae Berhow was all over the floor. He attacked the basket and make mid-range jump shots and layups.
Melrose took and made a lot of three-pointers early in the game.
Neither team went on a run in the first half.
Watertown called a timeout with 9:19 left in the first half. The score was Melrose 26, Watertown 16.

Melrose used a lot of time off of the shot clock. They looked to shoot with 10 seconds left on the shot clock.
At halftime the score was Melrose 44, Watertown 31.
As the second half got underway Melrose continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
Melrose’s Dillion Haider came up with some nice assists. He knew where his teammates were on the floor and was able to get them the ball where they could shoot it.
Watertown called a timeout with 11:35 left in regulation. The score was Melrose 60, Watertown 43.
Melrose continued to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups late in the game.
Watertown struggled to shoot in the second half.
Melrose was quicker than Watertown was.
Melrose came away with the 85-64 victory over Watertown.
