MACALESTER WENT UP AGAINST ST. THOMAS IN A MEN'S BASKETBALL GAME

Macalester and St. Thomas went up against each other in a men's basketball game on Dec. 9.
 
The score went back and forth early in the game.
 
Macalester started the game in a zone defense. They didn’t want St. Thomas to take deep 3-point shots.
 
St. Thomas came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
St. Thomas called a timeout with 12:36 left in the first half. The score was St. Thomas 13, Macalester 10.
 
Macalester got everyone involved in the offense. They passed the ball around the 3-point line as the took a lot of time off the clock.
 
Macalester’s Jordan Black-Matthews came up with some huge rebounds. He also was able to come up with layups. Black-Matthews had good court vision.
 
Macalester called a timeout with 5:26 left in the first half. The score was St. Thomas 29 Macalester 19.
 
Macalester kept attacking the basket as they were able to come up with layups.
 
At halftime the score was St. Thomas 36, Macalester 21.
 
As the second half got underway St. Thomas continued to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.
 
Macalester struggled to shoot the ball in the second half.
 
Macalester called a timeout with 8:37 left in regulation. The score was St. Thomas 64, St. Thomas 39.
 
St. Thomas kept on moving the ball down the floor well and getting everyone involved in the offense.
 
Macalester couldn’t come up with shots late in the game.
 
St. Thomas came away with the 78-53 victory over Macalester.
