ST. PAUL HARDING WENT UP AGAINST RICHFIELD IN A BOYS BASKETBALL GAME

On Nov. 26 St. Paul Harding and Richfield squared off in a boys basketball game.
 
Richfield pushed the ball down the floor and scored baskets in transition.
 
Harding called a timeout with 16:04 left in the first half. The score was Richfield 11, Harding 3.
 
Richfield pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score layups. Richfield’s Junior Stone came up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
 
Harding struggled to shoot the ball. They were not making mid-range jump shots or layups.
 
Richfield’s Stone and Malik Hunter came up with layups off of steals. There teammates did a good job of getting them the ball in spots where they could shoot it.
 
After a slow start Harding’s offense started clicking. Essa Adam and Davonte Bolton came up with layups. On the defensive end they were able to slow down their players they were guarding.
 
Harding was able to turn Richfield over late in the first half. They were able to convert turnovers to points.
 
At halftime the score was Richfield 48, Harding 47.
 
As the second half got underway both teams came out looking to attack the basket and make layups.
 
Richfield continued to push the ball down the floor and look for chances to score.
 
Both teams dove on the floor after loose balls.
 
Stone continued to come up with baskets late in the game. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball where he could shoot it.
 
Harding’s Ben Thompson came up with layups and jump shots late in the game.
 
Richfield’s Antonio Maddox also came up with huge baskets late in the game.
 
Richfield came away with the 105-93 victory over Harding.
 
Richfield’s Stone finished with 44 points and Maddox ended with 19 points.
 
The leading scorer for Harding was Adam with 33 points.
