MINNEAPOLIS EDISON WENT UP AGAINST ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

On Dec. 7 Minneapolis Edison and St. Anthony Village squared up against each other in a boys' basketball game.
 
St. Anthony started out in a zone defense. They wanted to set the tempo early.
 
It took a while for each team to get into a shooting rhythm.
 
St. Anthony took a lot of time off the clock as they swung the ball around the 3-point line. They also were able to get a lot of baskets off of steals and fast breaks.
 
Neither team went on a run early.
 
St. Anthony got the ball inside. They also did a good job of letting everyone get involved in the offense.
 
Minneapolis Edison switched between man-to-man and zone defense throughout the first half.
 
St. Anthony took a lot of time off the clock as they swung the ball around the 3-point line against the Minneapolis Edison zone.
 
St. Anthony did a good job of getting everyone involved in the offense. St. Anthony’s Rhys Langums came off the bench and provided an offensive spark.
 
At halftime the score was St. Anthony 35, Edison 25.
 
As the second half got underway St. Anthony continued to push the ball down the floor and make layups.
 
Edison continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to get to the basket.
 
St. Anthony caused defensive pressure problems for Edison. They were able to take Edison out of the game on the offensive end.
 
St. Anthony was quicker than Edison. Edison struggled to shoot the ball in the second half.
 
St. Anthony got steals and was able to come up with layups on the offensive end.
 
St. Anthony Village came away with the 85-45 victory over Minneapolis Edison.
 
The leading scorer for the game was Langums with 28 points.
