WAYZATA WENT UP AGAINST CHAMPLIN PARK IN A BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME

Wayzata and Champlin Park squared off in a boys basketball game. Champlin Park looked to push the ball down the floor and score baskets in transition.

Champlin Park looked to score baskets in transition. Champlin Park’s McKinley Wright IV came up with mid-range jump shots and layups in the first half. Teammate Brian Smith came with huge mid-range jump shots.

There were many ties and lead changes in the first half. The pace of the game was fast. Neither team took a lot of time off the clock.

At halftime the score was Champlin Park 30, Wayzata 26.

As the second half got underway Champlin Park went to a zone defense. They wanted to make
Wayzata to shoot deep shots.

Both teams went after loose balls and rebounds. The game was very physical.

Wright continued to come up with jump shots and layups.

Wayzata called a timeout with 12:07 left in regulation. The score was Champlin Park 38, Wayzata 30.

The game was close throughout. There were many ties and lead changes late in the game.

Wayzata looked to make layups late in the game.

Champlin Park came away with the 56-49 victory over Wayzata.
