ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE WENT UP AGAINST PARK CENTER IN A GIRLS' BASKETBALL GAME

St. Michael-Albertville (STMA) and Park Center squared off against each other in a girls' basketball game.
 
Park Center pushed the ball down the floor and looked to score layups in transition. Park Center got the ball into the hands of Mikayla Hayes who came up with layups and mid-range jump shots.
 
Both teams went after loose balls and rebounds. There were many jump balls in the first half.
 
Park Center took a lot of time off the clock in the first half. They swung the ball around the 3-point line.
 
Park Center used a zone defense. They wanted to force STMA to shot 3-point shots which they did.
 
Park Center set several screens as they looked for cutters to the basket and they were able to make baskets off their cuts.
 
At halftime the score was Park Center 32. STMA 30.
 
Park Center’s Rea Johnson came up with mid-range jump shots and layups. The defense had a hard time slowing her down.
 
The score went back and forth throughout the second half. Neither team went on a huge run.
 
Park Center’s Jada Buford came up with clutch jump shots in the second half. That kept Park Center in the game.
 
STMA struggled to shoot the ball in the second half. Even though they struggled to shoot the ball they kept on shooting it.
 
Park Center used their quickness to get the ball down the floor.
 
STMA got hot late in the second half. They started making their shots.
 
The score went back and forth the last 2:00 of the game.
 
Park Center came away with the 66-60 victory over STMA
