Both teams looked to set the tempo early. Benilde-St. Margaret’s got the ball into the hands of Sam Baker. Baker stepped up and came up with mid-range jump shots and three-point shots.
DeLaSalle’s Gabe Kalscheur came up with 3-point baskets. His teammates did a good job of getting him the ball in spots where he could shoot it.

Baker and Dress both took the ball hard to the basket and came up with huge baskets in the first half.

Dress came up with huge 3-point baskets in the second half. Benilde-St. Margaret’s did a good job of slowing down the DeLaSalle offense in the first half.
The DeLaSalle offense picked up their production late in the first half.
At halftime the score was Benilde-St. Margaret’s 34, DeLaSalle 20.
As the second half got underway Benilde-St. Margaret’s continued to push the ball down the floor and looked to score baskets in transition.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s continued to move the ball well down the floor. As they were able to come up with mid-range jump shots and layups.
DeLaSalle had a difficult time shooting the ball throughout the game. They didn’t give up though as they kept on shooting the ball. DeLaSalle locked on defense late in the game.
Kalscheur kept on coming up with shots late in the game.

DeLaSalle tried to make a comeback late in the game but came up short. In a night where DeLaSalle struggled to shoot the ball throughout, Benilde-St. Margaret’s came away with the 69-52 victory over DeLaSalle.
The leading scorer for DeLaSalle was Kalscheur with 24 points.
